EASTER CRAFTS

I love EASTER! If you haven't seen the 'sugar free' Easter Basket I made for Evie yet, then click HERE!
Evie & I had SO MUCH FUN making this Easter craft & you must admit that it is ridiculously cute! It was so easy & cheap to make! You will need:
4 PAPER PLATES
PINK PAINT (we made this by mixing red & white)

COTTON WOOL

A PICTURE OF YOUR BABY

SCISSORS
GLUE
AN OLD SHEET OR NEWSPAPER FOR THE FLOOR!

Firstly I cut out two circles, one slightly bigger than the other, & two bunny ears. I then stuck them altogether with glue. You might find it easier to cut an entire bunny shape out of card, they don't need to be separate, but we didn't have any card to hand so paper plates were a good alternative!

Next we painted Evie's feet & pressed each of them onto a paper plate. Evie loved having the paint on her feet and was giggling every time she got to step in some more. Babies can be quite wiggly so it might take a few attempts to get a clear footprint.

While we were waiting for the feet to dry, Evie helped me to stick down her face (which she found very funny) & all of the cotton wool onto the bunny. She LOVED the texture of cotton wool. She's never felt it before & spent a good twenty minutes having fun ripping it all apart & stroking her face with it. My favourite part about doing crafts with Evie is giving her the opportunity to discover new textures & to let her create with them. It's such an important part of learning & development. When the footprints were dry she helped me to glue those on as well.

This is such a cute keepsake and even would even look great in a photo frame or shadow box. While we had the paint out we decided to make another Easter craft with her footprint & made this little carrot, which isn't as cute as the bunny but would look great if you were going to make a little Easter garden.
What do you think of Evie's Easter bunny? Are you trying any Easter crafts with your little one?
