MY BLOG BUCKET LIST FOR 2015

Saturday 16 May 2015

I started blogging in the middle of February this year. It started off just as a hobby but I am completely astounded by just how much my blog has taken off, how much I love blogging & how incredibly welcoming the blogging community is.

I had no idea that the blogging world was this vast, that I would meet so many lovely people or be given so many great opportunities to work with brands that I love. I am so excited to continue making my blog grow. (Wow that was a lot of blog, blog, blog!) Here are my goals for the rest of 2015...

1. To purchase a Canon EOS 1200 DSLR camera.

2. To have a header designed by the extremely talented, Ellie Illustrates.

3. To have my perfect profile design created. I'm so organised I'd love it to be a lot easier to navigate.

4. To move over to Wordpress & be self-hosted. Any tips on this please link below!

5. To get the opportunity to work with some amazing brands that I love.

6. To set up a linky. I have two in mind that will fit in with my blog ethos perfectly.

7. To showcase much much more of Cornwall, the ridiculously stunning place that I'm from.

8. To get the opportunity to attend a blogging conference.

9. To be a brand ambassador.

10. But most importantly to me, to make some lovely blogging friends.

What's your blog bucket list for this year? :-)

    1. Thank you so much. It is so hard to keep up with it all. It definitely takes up a lot of time. I'm having to take time out this week, which is so gutting, because i'm trying to transfer over to wordpress (very stressful). All I want to do is write posts! I find setting aside some time in the evenings & the mornings helps me to keep on top of things. :-) x

  2. Eek, I want to go self hosted too but have NO CLUE what I'm doing! I mean, what order are you meant to do everything in for a start?! I am on blogger at the mo - it seems like it will be such a huge jump to wordpress.... how are you getting on? x

    1. I didn't either! I'm still on blogger at the moment, all though I did try & go self-hosted this week, but somehow messed up. Many tears later I stuck with blogger. BUT I will be trying again soon when I've read a few more tutorials. Katy from What Katy Said made the leap (http://www.whatkatysaid.com/2015/04/which-is-better-wordpress-or-blogger/) & so did lots of other bloggers so it can't be that hard. I didn't set out enough time to look into it the other day, I just leapt without researching so next time I'm going to take my time. Let me know how you get on! I'd love to know how people do it. x

  5. I've been blogging for over 1 1/2 years, but I haven't accomplished nearly as much as you have. I'm so proud of you! Going self-hosted was a goal of mine until I figured out all the technicalities. Since I'm Dutch and blog in English, the advantage of being able to work with brands more is not applicable to me anyway. I would lov eto someday be able to take my own pictures, but since I'm blindt his is unlikely to happen anytime soon, certainly when it's expected they are good pics. #thelist

    1. Thank you so much Astrid for your comment & your lovely words! :-) I think going self-hosted is a lot harder than I thought, I hope it goes well. I wish I had been blogging for 1 1/2 years! I love blogging and wish I'd discovered it a lot sooner. I think your blog is incredible. It is so inspiring and really informative. I love the heartfelt posts that you write. Your English is really good. I don't think you need pictures with your blog because your words draw the picture for you. xx

  6. Great list! I'm relatively new to the blogger scene too - I started last October and really enjoy it. I set up with Wordpress initially - it is a really great platform. However I wish I'd set up with wordpress.org, instead of .com as I can't use plugins for some reason so make sure you look into it. Keep on with the great posts x

    1. Blogging is so much fun. I think it's so much easier to swap to self-hosted wordpress if you're already on wordpress. I would love to be able to use plug-ins. Hopefully I can get my head around it soon! Thank you for your comment! :-) x

    1. Another newbie! Hi! :-) It is so daunting. I'm going to have a friend come over this week & help me I think. I know the move would be a good thing though. x

  8. Wow, you are organised, you have achieved so much since only Feb! I am still trying to navigate around my own blog, with not so much success, really should get someone to help me, think that would have to be first on my blog bucket list. This post of yours has already made me begin to think, and that can only be a good thing, right?!?!!?

    1. :-D I live by bucket lists. In all areas of my life. I'm so good at procrastinating, but lists of goals keep me in check. It's so hard to get your head around blogging at first isn't it! I'm still learning new things everyday. My other half is a chef, so he's not home much in the evenings which means that I have a lot of alone time to blog & research blogging while my little one is asleep. I love it so much! x

  9. That's a great list! I started in 2014 and thought it would be a hobby, too! Now it's taken over my life. In a good way though! I think all your goals are very achievable - for me, it's finding the time in-between my full time job and being a mum! I struggle with that. #TheList

    1. Oh wow! I am in so much admiration for full time working mums. I do three shifts a week & I'm pooped! It is so difficult to find the balance with me just doing that. I find full time working mums incredibly inspiring. Blogging is slowly taking over my lift too. I adore it! :-D xx

  10. Ah great list! I've been working through these sort of things, very, very slowly! I've just had a header designed by Ellie Illustrates and I love it! And am currently going through the move to self-hosted through working with a web designer which is taking a lot of the pain away.
Can't wait to read more of your Cornwall posts!
